Actually it is. Not only do they yank the chair out from under this old fellow, but he gets a monumental tubful of soapy water in the face as a result. So much so that the cruel contrivance of the joke—more weenie cinema here—turns into something of an actuality on the topic of physics, or of plain mayhem.
