Carmencita

Film Review by Dean Duncan May 27, 2015

Note the little flash points of blemished and decaying film here. The most contrived and performative of old movies document all sorts of social reality. There’s another interesting thing: contrivance and documentation, when subjected to chemical decay and dissolution, suddenly merge into a kind of material, inadvertent abstraction. Movies are really rich!

Oh. Pretty reasonable dancing.
