The Kiss (a.k.a. The New Kiss)

Film Review by Dean Duncan May 27, 2015

This is about the kissing-est movie ever. These young leads are very attractive and, what’s more, very convincing. It must have been challenging to maintain this impression, given how endless this film is. Or seems.

I wonder: to what do we assign the impulse the young man has to look at us? He’s not quite leering, though in less polite company that may be the idea. Anyway, she’s very much there with him, while he seems to be half stupended by his good fortune (cf. Mr. Bowie’s “she said she had to but she…and then she…”), half looking forward to the bragging he’ll do to his buddies.
