Cheese Chasers

Film Review by Dean Duncan Jul 13, 2015

For me the Hubie and Bertie pairing isn’t too appealing. Doesn’t at all mean that that’s going to be the case for anyone else. And whatever I may feel about the protagonists, they’ve got quite an idea here. Cheese stuffed mice try to commit suicide by running into the cat’s mouth! The dominos fall in an appealingly logical way, and even in a glancingly ethical or ideological way. Cheese Chasers talks about and touches upon our preconceptions, and the possibility of refusing them. What if we changed the way we thought about things? At one point we see Claude, ensconced within a great bottle, reaching out through the neck while fashioning a masted ship. “They say that a hobby sometimes helps.”
