Kaleidoscope Jazz Chair

Film Review by Dean Duncan May 26, 2015

Oh—a sequential title, as in window water baby moving. Lots of beautiful kaleidoscopes accompanied by some swinging music. Then some imaginative presenting of the chairs that the Eames designed and manufactured. (Thought their names sounded familar?) At our house, and in my hallway at work, we are very wary of advertising. But advertising this digressive and transgressive can’t be resented. Some of the kaleidoscopes are obviously composed of cool things from that house of theirs. How did they do that? They are preposterously funded, tasteful, talented. But before and after all of that, and this is the best thing about them, I think, the Eames are simply devoted domestic artists.
